Choose versatile clothes that suit real life, not only trends.
Audit what you already wear
Before buying anything, identify the clothes you repeatedly reach for. Consider your climate, work requirements, laundry routine and comfort. A capsule wardrobe does not need a universal item count.
Build combinations around a few pieces
Try forming several outfits from an existing pair of trousers, a jacket or shoes. Neutral colors can simplify combinations, but accent colors and personal style still matter. The goal is fewer unused purchases, not a uniform appearance.
Prioritize fit, care and durability
Look at seams, fabric maintenance and whether garments can be repaired or altered. Price alone does not prove quality. Reconsider purchases that require unusual care you know you will not maintain.
